Your privacy
Last updated October 25, 2026
Pieces is made by Thea Posey. This policy explains what Pieces does with your information. The short version: what you save in Pieces stays on your iPhone, and Pieces doesn’t track you or sell anything about you.
What you save
Your pieces, boards, capsules, photos, notes and profile photo are stored on your iPhone. Pieces doesn’t upload them anywhere.
Your account
During the beta, your account (your name, username and the email you sign in with) is also stored only on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else.
When online accounts arrive, this policy will be updated before they go live, to explain what is stored with your account and how to delete it.
Links and photos you add
When you paste or share a link into Pieces, your iPhone loads that page directly from the store, the same way your browser would, to read the product’s name, price and photo. That store sees an ordinary visit from your iPhone. Pieces doesn’t send the link to us.
Photo clean-up (removing the background) and Make an image happen on your iPhone using Apple’s built-in features.
Pieces only adds to your photo library when you choose to save an image there, and it never reads your library except for the photos you pick.
Shop links and commissions
Shop links are not turned on yet. When they are, tapping Shop on a saved piece may send you to the store through an affiliate partner (currently Sovrn Commerce). If you then buy something, the store may pay Pieces a small commission. This doesn’t change the price you pay.
When this happens, Pieces sends the affiliate partner only the store link you saved and a code that identifies the Pieces app. It doesn’t send your name, account, contact details, device identifiers, or anything else about you or the other pieces you’ve saved. The store page opens in your browser, where the partner and the store handle your visit under their own privacy policies and may use cookies to record that the visit came from Pieces.
Your saved links are never changed, and links you share from Pieces are always the original store links. You can turn shop links off at any time in your profile.
Tracking and advertising
Pieces doesn’t use the advertising identifier, doesn’t show ads, and doesn’t track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Beta testing
If you test Pieces through TestFlight, Apple shares crash reports and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send with us, under Apple’s TestFlight terms. We use them only to fix and improve Pieces.
Deleting your information
Delete account in your profile removes your account and everything you’ve saved in Pieces from your iPhone. Deleting the app does the same.
The waitlist and this website
If you join the waitlist at savepieces.com, we keep the email address you give us, and the name of the page or link that brought you there, if any. We use your email only to write to you about Pieces: early access, then launch. We don’t sell it or share it, and we don’t add it to anyone else’s list.
The waitlist is stored with Netlify, the company that hosts savepieces.com. To leave it, use the unsubscribe link in any email from us, or write to support@savepieces.com and we’ll delete your address.
savepieces.com doesn’t use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Like any website host, Netlify keeps short-lived server logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the site.
Children
Pieces isn’t directed at children under 13.
